London is on everyone’s travel bucket list – and it’s an amazing city, but it’s also worth getting out of London and exploring the English countryside. The English countryside is so unique with its stunning villages, country pubs, and a never-ending supply of castles.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t spend enough time exploring the UK outside of London. But that’s why I was so excited to explore Suffolk with ÖÖD Mirror House at Pound Farm.
Disclosure: My husband and I were hosted at ÖÖD Mirror House at Pound Farm as part of a content collaboration. But as always, this review and my opinions are my own. ÖÖD Mirror Houses has no editorial control over my content or review.
All About ÖÖD Mirror Houses at Pound Farm
What are ÖÖD Mirror Houses?
ÖÖD Mirror Houses is a family-run operation that began in 2016.
The idea for ÖÖD Mirror Houses was born by two brothers in Estonia. Jaak and Andreas Tiik grew up surrounded by the wild nature, bogs, and forest of Estonia. It was this experience that inspired them to create ÖÖD Mirror Houses as a way to create something fully immersed in nature with the thoughtful details of a luxury stay.

Did you know that you can even have your own Mirror House? If you’re a private landowner and you’d like to start your own hospitality business with the help of ÖÖD Mirror Houses, check this out.
Where is ÖÖD Mirror House at Pound Farm?
While ÖÖD Mirror Houses are popping up around the world, I stayed at their house in Suffolk on Pound Farm (specifically their Meadow House). There are two ÖÖD Mirror Houses at Pound Farm, the Meadow House and Pond House. Each house is tucked away and completely surrounded by nature. You can’t see or hear any elements of the farm around you.
Pound Farm is located about 2 hours outside of London in Great Glemham, Suffolk. It’s surrounded by 221 acres of Woodland Trust land which means upon arrival you’ll be immediately immersed in nature.
Close by you’ll be able to explore the adorable English village of Framlingham and the colorful coastal town of Southwold.

First Impressions of ÖÖD Mirror Houses
Immediately upon arriving at Pound Farm, you’ll follow signs to either the Meadow or the Pond House. Around the corner and right across from Cluckinham Palace you’ll find your parking spot for the Meadow Mirror House. The parking space even has an electric car charging point.
Once parking you’ll follow the stone path around the corner until you reach a wooden walkway leading up to your Mirror House. A beautiful meadow surrounds the house on one side – and the other side is surrounded by trees.
On first impressions, the house was amazing. Easily one of the most unique places I’ve ever stayed in my 10 years of travel. The whole house is actually made of mirrors! You can’t see in, just your pretty reflection as you walk around to the door.
They have a self-check-in process so you just get the key out of the lock box and let yourself in.
What’s included in your stay at ÖÖD Mirror House Pound Farm?
They’ve really thought of everything. We immediately discovered that they had farm-fresh ingredients for our breakfast. A fresh loaf of sourdough, fresh eggs, milk, orange juice, and homemade jam. They also provided us with two local beers to try and a local bar of chocolate.
The home is equipped with everything you would need for cooking light meals, making coffee and tea, and enjoying a beer or glass of wine on the deck. They have a BBQ and firepit that you can use, equipped with firewood and the tools necessary to start a fire.
They also provide you with local soaps (including shampoo and conditioner!) and the products are actually amazing. This means more space in your carry-on for books, cozy pajamas wine to make your stay even more relaxing.
Things to do during your stay at ÖÖD Mirror Houses at Pound Farm
You’ve probably booked your stay at ÖÖD Mirror Houses because you need a relaxing escape from the city.
For that reason, enjoy reading your books in the extremely comfortable bed while your husband makes you a cup of tea. Or simply watch the wildlife go by. It rained during our stay and there was nothing better than curling up with my book while it rained around us.
However, if you’d like some other things to do during your stay, here’s what I can recommend from my experience:
- Take a walk through the Woodland Trust
- Explore the nearby town of Framlingham with its 12th-century castle
- Shop for souvenirs in the local boutiques and farm shops
- Go for a pub lunch at the Poacher’s Pocket
- Drive to the colorful seaside town of Southwold and explore its unique pier

When is the best time to visit ÖÖD Mirror Houses at Pound Farm?
Because of how well-insulated and heated ÖÖD Mirror Houses are, you can visit anytime. I personally would love to go back in the winter when it’s rainy and moody outside. Anything to force myself to slow down and enjoy where I am.
If you would like to have better weather and more things to do, you’ll definitely want to go in the summer. We visited in early September and it rained every day, but it was also sunny for large parts of the day and I loved the rain! Watching the rain fall surrounded by windows is easily one of my new favorite experiences.
Who is ÖÖD Mirror Houses at Pound Farm for?
Couples, of course, this escape was just what my husband and I needed after several busy months in London. But this is also the kind of place that I would love to come for a solo getaway or girl’s trip. I’ve already been talking to my bestie about escaping to an ÖÖD Mirror House for a weekend of reading and drinking wine.
Pound Farm doesn’t allow dogs (I know other properties do) so you’ll just have to leave your furry friends at home! And since it only has one bed, it’s not overly family-friendly.
