If you’re looking for where to stay in Sengiggi, let me show you around Lombok Souls, a boutique hotel tucked away in the quiet hills of Lombok. I had the chance to spend six nights here, and from the moment I arrived, I knew we had found somewhere special.
Lombok Souls is the kind of hotel that invites you to slow down and reset. Something that I think more and more of us are craving while we travel. In this post, I’ll share my full experience and why this Sengiggi hotel quickly became one of my favorite stays in Lombok.

Where to Stay in Sengiggi: Lombok Souls Overview
Tucked into the hills, Lombok Souls brings a touch of boutique luxury to Sengiggi, Lombok. They have three unique villas: Fire, Water, and Earth, and their goal is to deliver an intimate and tranquil escape that blends local Sasak craftsmanship with modern comfort.
The villa’s design draws inspiration from Sasak architecture, using thatched roofs, natural stone, bamboo, and local materials to create a retreat that feels organically part of its tropical surroundings. Open-air layouts, large windows, and lush gardens invite fresh air and natural light inside.
Each villa features its own private pool and a garden or terrace:
- Fire Villas: 36 m² with private pool and garden
- Water Villas: 40 m², includes a living room sofa bed, and a larger garden
- Earth Villas: 55 m² with two bedrooms, a large garden, and a private pool
There’s also a stunning pool, a spacious restaurant, a bar, and a breezy covered area where you can work if needed.

My Experience Staying at Lombok Souls
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the resort staff, offered a welcome drink, and shown to your villa. The staff at Lombok Souls were outstanding. Whether you need to book transportation, rent a scooter, organize a tour, or get recommendations for the best beaches nearby, the resort staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

The Villas
We stayed in an Earth Villa, which featured a private pool in our garden, two large rooms (with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!), a hot shower, and a beautiful bathroom overlooking the pool. Our rooms also had a wardrobe area where you could unpack, a fridge, and air conditioning.

Services & Amenities
Swimming Pool: In addition to having your own private pool, Lombok Souls also features a large resort pool surrounded by sun loungers and swaying palm trees.
Restaurant & Pool Bar: Their on-site restaurant and bar serve a mix of local and international cuisine. You can enjoy a fresh coconut or a cold cocktail by the pool.
Breakfast: During our stay, they had a mix between a breakfast buffet and made-to-order breakfast items. The breakfast buffet was delicious, featuring eggs, fried rice, fresh fruit, toast and local Lombok coffee.
Tours & Transport: The resort will be happy to help you book excursions for surf lessons, snorkeling, waterfall visits, and Rinjani treks. You just have to let them know what kind of adventure you’re looking for, and they’ll take care of the rest.

The Location
Lombok Souls is located in Sengiggi, in the northwestern part of Lombok. Just a 15-minute drive from Senggigi Beach and other local hotspots, such as Mangsit Beach and the Senggigi Art Market, Lombok Souls offers a peaceful escape while remaining well-connected to beachside attractions and cultural spots.
You can walk down to the local beach for sunrise surf lessons, hop on a scooter and drive just five minutes up the road to Nipah Beach, where you can snorkel with sea turtles, or head next door to Sapiyah’s Warung for a tasty local meal.
I recommend renting a scooter for the duration of your stay, so that you can beach hop along the coast.

Highlights of Our Stay
What really stood out to me at Lombok Souls was the villas themselves. They really have been designed with comfort and luxury in mind. I’ll never complain when I have a private pool villa all to myself, but they’ve really gone above and beyond with making their villas comfortable.
It’s also a perfect location for exploring Lombok. Sengiggi is very spread out, which can make it hard to know where to stay. But with Lombok Souls, you’re tucked away from the noise, but still only minutes away from gorgeous beaches, restaurants, viewpoints, and shops.
The only thing I wished we had during our stay was a kettle in the room. As someone who is always making myself a cup of coffee or tea, having a kettle to boil water is always a huge plus. Other than that, Lombok Souls had everything we needed. And they were happy to bring a cup of coffee or tea to the room anytime I asked.

Who Should Stay at Lombok Souls?
Lombok Souls has a little something for everyone. Because they have one and two-bedroom villas, there were some families, groups of friends, and couples staying during our trip. This hotel is perfect for honeymooners and remote workers alike. It really will feel like your home away from home.

Things to Do During Your Stay at Lombok Souls
Whether you want to catch up on your reading list by the pool or explore all that Lombok has to offer, Lombok Souls is the perfect jumping-off point for your trip. From waterfalls and rice terraces to volcano treks and white sand beaches, there are an endless number of things to do during your stay at Lombok Souls.
