However, for the big holidays coming up, you should be posting content months in advance. For example, August is not too early to share about Halloween. And by September you should be sharing your Christmas content. This goes for seasons as well. August is when you should start sharing your fall content.

Also in fashion, it’s the best time to start sharing about back-to-school outfits and styles. Peaches are all over Pinterest right now – but as I mentioned we are starting to see more of an increase for back-to-school recipes and fall food. It’s still important to incorporate fresh summer ingredients, but August is a good time to incorporate some fall flavors.

In the past, I’ve found the beauty trends on Pinterest to be dominated by nails – and while we’re still seeing nails everywhere, we’re also seeing a few other things like more hair and makeup! This is really exciting because it means you’ll have even more content that you can share on Pinterest. Here’s what the beauty girlies are searching for on Pinterest right now.

Home decor is a huge niche on Pinterest. I have a client in this space and she gets over 10,000 outbound link clicks from Pinterest alone! On her account, we’re always jumping on fun home and decor trends and sharing reviews of the top-performing paint colors. Keep in mind that there are so many creative ways that you can use these keywords.

In the summer we usually see so much outdoor remodeling but this August people have turned indoors. We’re seeing ‘cozy’ spaces all over Pinterest and I predict that’s only going to grow as we move into fall.

Yes, you are going to see Halloween crafts and DIY on Pinterest already and YES you should already be sharing that content yourself. You read it here first: it’s time for Halloween babes!

I am a Pinterest marketer… but I’m also a travel blogger at heart! So it always brings me so much joy to share the top trending destinations with you. While ‘travel’ on Pinterest used to be dominated by packing guides – we’re seeing so many destinations popping up now.
Here’s what I found when looking at ‘travel’ on Pinterest for August:

There are definitely a lot of destinations around the US trending right now. I think we’ve seen an end to the summer in Europe inspiration and people are instead exploring how they can travel closer to home.
I also noticed that two keywords were already growing for Christmas in New York. Remember, people plan their travel 3-12 months in advance so if there are any winter destinations or Christmas-themed trips you want to share, it’s not too early!
